oxygen shabab

Oxygen Shabab is a non-governmental and non-profit civil society organization. It was established in Raqqa city and obtained necessary licenses for work on 11/4/2017 coinciding with the people return to the city. It works peacefully in Raqqa city range and its countryside to recover from the impacts of extremism and violence of which it was exposed to during the past years and also to ease the stereotypical image of it. It looks with neutrality and impartiality and it believes in equal opportunities for everyone.
In a response to the need of the city and its countryside peoples, we organized ourselves as a group of volunteer youth who are concerned about the public situation. And with subjective efforts, our activities were started and developed with the development of returners needs.
The liberation of Raqqa city countryside preceded the liberation of Raqqa city and CSO started operating in it. Oxygen Shabab took on the task of transferring and benefiting from their experiences, the thing which was apparent from the first project we implemented.
We depend in our organizational structure on balance and qualification as a key principle, as a pre-balance and gender balance are features that distinguish us and these principles are effective at the level of decision taking and not only as a matter of representation.
