Violence... Its Causes, Forms, and Consequences.

Suheila, Peace Leaders Network: On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and as part of the 16 Days of Activism campaign, Peace Leaders Network, in collaboration with the Women's Center in the city Qamishli, conducted a dialogue session on violence, its nature, causes, and ways to reduce the phenomenon of violence against women. This issue has escalated during the ongoing Syrian crisis and the persistent instability in the region. The session highlighted the positive efforts made by women in northern and eastern Syria (NES) to combat violence, hold perpetrators accountable, and enforce laws that protect women and their rights. The session was led by Ms. Bahia Murad.

The session was attended by a group of activists and human rights advocates from diverse backgrounds.
