In light of the high temperatures; And an increase in cases of leishmaniasis (sandflies).
Baladna Organization for Development and Improvement launched an initiative under the slogan “Leishmaniasis” in Sahlet Al-Banat camp. It is located a few meters from the Al-Raqqa city garbage dump. Which is considered the incubator for these insects.
The aim of this initiative was to raise awareness among camp members about the dangers of leishmaniasis.
The initiative included awareness sessions; Distribute brochures and posters about this disease.
The initiative took 4 days
From July 8 until July 11, 2024.
