Covid-19: Is an infectious disease caused by the recently emerging Corona virus, which is a large family of viruses that may cause disease to animals and humans. It is known that a number of Corona viruses cause respiratory infections for humans. Accordingly, the large numbers of infected people by the Corona virus globally and locally in NES areas and the resulting effects on all levels, including educational, social and economic sectors, led to activating the role of local organizations and associations to fulfill their duty to educate individuals and society about the seriousness of the outbreak of this disease.
Consequently, Shamal association, Bukra Ahla Association for Relief and Development and Xunav Association for Relief and Development to form an alliance of organizations that is mainly based on gathering ideas and purposeful methods and directing them in their correct path, namely to educate individuals in society about the dangers of this disease based on the saying (In unity, there is strength). This alliance implemented the initiative (Protect Yourself …. Protect Your Family) which includes two activities.
The first implemented activity consisted of awareness sessions, taking into account the methods of personal and collective protection. Moreover, the awareness sessions were carried out in each of the following centers:
- Shamal Association
- Bukra Ahla association
- Xunav Association
The main axes of the activity were:
1_ Social awareness to prevent coronavirus
2_ Training on personal measures of prevention
3_ Providing participants with awareness skills
4_ Mechanism of action during awareness raising
5_ Psychological awareness
6_ Health awareness
Our primary goal was and will remain to educate members of our community on how to protect themselves against this dangerous virus in correct and proper methods, hoping for all health and peace.
