يتناول الدليل إجابات توضيحية عن الأسئلة الأساسية في المراقبة والتقييم، المتعلقة بماهية المراقبة والتقييم والفرق بينهما، وأهمية المراقبة والتقييم في نجاح المشاريع وتوطيد العلاقة مع الجهات المانحة، كما يتناول أنواع المتابعة والتقييم وكيفية تخطيط أنشطة المتابعة والتقييم، والصعوبات المتعلقة بهما وكيفية تجاوزها. كما أن للدليل ملحق بالنماذج الضرورية للعاملين في مجال المراقبة والتقييم.
