يتناول الدليل مفهوم إدارة الموارد البشرية، ووظيفة قسم الموارد البشرية، ومن ثم يتناول المبادئ الأساسية لخارطة مسار الموارد البشرية، المتعلقة بـ: التوظيف والاستخدام والتوجيه، التعويضات والمنافع، إدارة الأداء، العلاقات مع الموظفين، رعاية الموظفين وسلامتهم، حالات الانفصال عن الموظفين، قائمة التحقق من الامتثال للموارد البشرية. وفي نهاية الدليل قائمة بالنماذج المتعلقة بمسار عمل الموارد البشرية.
