The International Mother Language Day

The International Mother Language Day is an annual celebration observed worldwide to promote awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity, as well as multilingualism. It is recognized on February 21st, and was first announced by UNESCO on November 17th, 1999. It was later officially recognized by the United Nations General Assembly.
