The Peace Leaders Network organized a dialogue session titled "The Role of Women in the Political Process in Syria" as part of the project "Political Developments in Syria." Syrian activist Rawida Matar participated as a representative via Zoom, emphasizing the involvement of Syrian women in political pathways. She discussed strategies to enhance their role, including active participation in international forums addressing the Syrian crisis and the implementation of UN resolutions, particularly Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace, and Security. The session also highlighted the Women's Advisory Council as a pivotal milestone in women's political participation. Activists from diverse backgrounds enriched the session with their insights, contributing to the advancement of women's roles and ensuring their engagement in decision-making processes.
