Wars are not devoid of secret side battles, in addition to their damage to people, the economy and life, as their harm to the environment extends in a very serious way through the destruction of agricultural lands in countries by uprooting and cutting down trees, destroying water and sewage systems, and polluting the soil with heavy metals such as mercury arsenic and lead released by weapons and their remnants; effects that may last for decades, causing permanent damage to the ecosystem.
