Dernaa for Development
Dernaa Development (DfD), is a local non-governmental organization, founded in Bugrah city located in the eastern countryside of Deir Ez-zur. The organization is locally licensed, and it aims to invest and develop local human capacities through a technical team focusing on human development and human resource management. In addition, Dernaa aims to establish stability in order to implement relief, development and coordination projects, and building networks with other civil society organizations in Deir Ez-zur and Raqqa cities, as well as with international organizations.
Dernaa Development was established in October 2018¬¬. It obtained a license from the council of Deir Ez-zur city on February 21, 2019.
Dernaa Development Organization members are passionate about addressing the lack of interest by government institutions in the rural areas of eastern Deir Ez-zur. Most of the members have been active in training programs and meetings regarding Syria’s future and the political situation there.
Dernaa Development co-ordinates with several international organizations, such as the United Nations Office in Beirut, the Syrian Relief Organization, the Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for the Support of Human Rights Defenders (EMHRF) and others.
