Albaghooz hope Development
Baghooz Hope Development (BHD) is a group of young activists who are from Deir Ez-zur's eastern countryside. The youth group was known for its rapid response to their community needs after the liberation from ISIS’s oppressive rule in July 2019. After obtaining a license from Deir Al-Zour's civil council in July 2019, the group is leading a significant effort to revive Albaghooz area nowadays. For example, it coordinates with active specialists of restoring stability and the humanitarian fields in order to secure the essential needs of society, such as drinking water, shelter, and mine clearance.
In addition, the newly emerging NGO leads voluntary efforts to remove mines and ERW from the neighborhoods using very simple tools, and that is only to ensure the safety of the citizens who are returning to the liberated areas.
Therefore, the group gained the trust of its communities quickly, in addition, it became the primary (if not the only) civil actor in Albaghooz area.
As a non-governmental organization, BHD aims to work neutrally and transparently to reach a fair society in which all its members are equal, with the aim of securing social and economic services.
The organization is currently focusing on reviving the agricultural sector in Albaghooz area. Also, it is working on long-term development in the newly liberated areas.
