A Statement by the Self-Administration Regarding the Massacres of the Yazidis in 2014
A statement to Public Opinion in a new attempt against the will of our people in Shingal and the desire of the forces against the self-construction of our Yazidis to prevent the development of the project of administration and self-protection for the Yazidis, the leader Marwan Badal, the co-chair of the Self-Administration Council in Shingal, was targeted by Turkey and its mercenaries, along with his children. This new massacre is a continuation of the campaign of genocide against the Yazidis, an attempt to regain control of Shingal and practice terrorism against its people, as happened in 2014 when the August massacre took place. It's also a continuation of those massacres that Turkey takes revenge for ISIS from all the forces that defeated it, including the people of Shingal. This escalation coincides with the role that Turkey plays in striking the security and stability of the region. As we, in the Self-Administration of Northeastern Syria, offer our deep condolences to the family of the martyr Marwan and to Shingal and its people and its Self-Administration, we condemn in the strongest terms the Turkish aggression and transgression, reminding the federal government of Iraq, the KRG, as well as the UN and the international coalition of the need to express their positions on these abuses and put an end to the aggression and its public support for ISIS and terrorism. We also call on the world's public opinion to break their silence regarding this dangerous escalation in Shingal and the region, where it is a public targeting of the identity and will of peoples, and a clear exercise of the project of liquidation and extermination against them. We also call upon the world's public opinion to break their silence regarding this dangerous escalation in Shingal and the region, where it is a public targeting of the identity and will of peoples, and a clear exercise of the project of elimination and extermination against them. This aggression is a public service for ISIS and all the forces that want to practice genocide against the Yazidis and all peoples in the region, which requires urgent action, especially from the forces that contributed to defeating ISIS, where all the gains made against ISIS, today are under threat and the Turkish threat.
