My Roots Play

2020-01-25
Date: January 25, 2020
Location: Deir Ezzor – Al-Sour Town

the idea of the play is a short story entitled My Roots. The story revolves about a simple farmer and his wife, and the concerns of the rural family and their suffering in war time. Later on, the farmer desires to migrate and leave his country, however, his wife encourages him to stay and stick to his homeland. The play ends with the farmer being convinced to stay to repair what was destroyed by wars, and to re-work on the land because it is a symbol of pride and dignity.
