Voluntary Campaign to Raise Awareness of Mines and Military Wastes Danger

The Dream Development Organization team carried out a volunteer campaign to raise awareness of mines and war wastes danger. The activity targeted some places where mine residues were suspected to be found, and in which mines and war wastes exploded on some children and herdsmen. The activity was carried out in the (Ruwaished) Badia in Deir Ezzor, and the desert (Meliebiya) in Al-Hasaka southeastern countryside on Feb 8th, 2020 until Feb 10th, 2020. The activity included distribution of awareness brochures about the mines and military waste’s danger on people. The brochures were distributed on the local people in the places that were mentioned previously. In addition, the activity involved preparing metallic advertising banners to warn the people in these places about the danger of mines and planting them in places where mine residues are expected to be found.
