''Growing Oyster Mushroom'' Project

Oyster Mushroom Growing Project is considered one of the important and new livelihood projects in Al-Raqqa. It contributes to encouraging and enhancing resilience of the local population in Al-Badya region. This work is suitable for women’s work at home, in addition to providing a suitable income for them. The project is implemented in the Northeastern countryside of Al-Raqqa city, targeting to help 50 poor and limited work opportunities families.

The project started at the beginning of February and will be finished on April, aiming to develop rural areas, fighting poverty, combating unemployment, and promoting food security.

Mushroom cultivation materials were distributed to 50 families in Maizilah and Bir-Said villages of, and agricultural and mushroom growing rooms for each beneficiary were provided.
