2021-10-25
Sawedna is a non-profit humanitarian organization that isn't affiliated with any political or religious faction, founded on the 6th of 2019.
As a result of the increasing infections with the Coronavirus, Sawedna Organization for Relief and Development launched an awareness initiative project in partnership with PDC on 15/10/2021. This project lasts for 6 months. This initiative aims to raise awareness of the dangers of the Coronavirus and ways to prevent it among the people of the region, and to encourage them to take the Corona vaccine. This initiative is divided into two phases, the first phase begins with campaigns for the distribution of brochures to all people in the city of Hajin and its markets, which are considered a shopping center for all the nearby villages and Abu Hassan village.
This project targets all age groups, schools, hospitals, and public services.
In the second phase, awareness-raising sessions are organized in the homes of civilians in general.
This initiative also aims to draw the attention of donors and officials in Northeastern Syria to the deteriorating health situation in the rural areas of the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, in particular, the city of Hajin to the Baghouz and in Northeastern Syria in general.
