Three Civilians Die in Turkish Bombing of Zerkan Town
2021-12-21
"The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries have for a long time been targeting the town of Zarkan and its countryside in an attempt to displace the population like what it has done in the cities of Afrin, Tal Abyad and Ras al-Ain. This brutal bombardment resulted in significant material damage to civilian property, the martyrdom of an elderly man and two women, and the injury of ten other civilians with varying degrees of injuries. They were transferred to hospitals to provide the necessary medical support. We in the Internal Security Forces condemn and denounce these criminal acts against our people in the town of Zarkan, and we call on the international community to act as soon as possible to confront the brutality of the Turkish state and its soldiers and to stop the bloodshed of defenseless civilians."
