Drafting a Law Regulating Political Parties in Northeastern Syria has Begun

On Tuesday, the Self-Administration in Northeastern Syria began drafting a law to organize political parties. The Self-Administration said, "The Presidency of the General Council in the Self-Administration of Northeastern Syria held a first meeting with the committee for writing a draft law on political parties today, Tuesday." They added, "The meeting is to formulate a law for parties in the Self-Administration of Northeastern Syria and develop it to serve the organized political life of individuals and groups, and to confirm the importance of the conditions for establishing parties in line with democratic life in Northeastern Syria."
