SDF Issues a Statement Regarding SANA's Lies
"The agency SANA affiliated with the Damascus authority published false news regarding the operations of our forces against ISIS cells, as it was reported by the aforementioned agency that 'our forces raided several houses in the town of Abu al-Naytel in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor, with the support of the helicopters of the international coalition, and arrested a number of the town’s residents.' We confirm that this news is false and our forces have not carried out any operation in the aforementioned area during the past few days. The agency also claimed that three of our fighters were martyred in an attack which is claimed by the Damascus authority’s media, and are exceedingly called 'the Popular Resistance Factions' on Al-Omar oil field road east of Deir Ezzor. We confirm that this news is also false, and our fighters were not subjected to any attack in the mentioned area. This agency's claiming and promoting terrorist operations targeting the region confirms the efforts of those in charge to take revenge on the people of the region who strongly rejected the so-called 'reconciliation' operations that the Damascus authority was promoting during the last period in the liberated Deir Ezzor region. In advance and deliberately, members of ISIS cells who are arrested by our forces as if they were civilians, confirms the bad attempts of this method to mislead public opinion and its inability to bear the successes of our forces in protecting the people and the region from the danger of ISIS and similar cells. After a few days, SANA agency will end a decade of false news that it published over the past years against the areas of Northeastern Syria liberated from ISIS terrorism, and it seems that the agency's management and editor-in-chief are tempted by the deviant trends of publishing this news in an attempt to attract terrorist cells that are trying to ruin stability and security in the region." The National Defense Intercepts an American Patrol and Prevents it from Passing South of Qamishlo/Qamishli
A checkpoint belonging to the National Defense Forces of the Syrian regime army intercepted an American patrol in the southern countryside of Qamishlo, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. The observatory indicated that the 5-vehicle patrol retreated after the "National Defense" checkpoint in the village of Tal Al-Dahab prevented it from passing through. The checkpoint itself witnesses similar cases during every attempt by American patrols to pass through it towards Zuri Roundabout, south of Qamishlo, an intersection that connects the roads heading to Qamishlo, Al-Hasakah, Iraq with each other. In August of last year, coalition warplanes bombed the same checkpoint after they prevented an American patrol from passing and opened fire on them. As a result, a member of the National Defense was killed and two others were wounded.
